Vladimir Putin met with Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Director of the Health Ministry’s Endocrinology Research Centre Ivan Dedov.
Healthcare and medicine priorities, integrating fundamental and clinical medicine, and financing research programmes were among the subjects discussed. Mr Dedov spoke of the plans to establish a national medical centre that would unite leaders in the science and practice of medicine.
Mr Putin began the meeting by congratulating Mr Dedov, everyone engaged in medical science, and all healthcare workers on Medical Workers’ Day, which Russia marked on Sunday.
