Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the organisers, participants and guests of the Fifth International Forum of Oncology and Radiotherapy “For Life.”
The message reads, in part:
“It has become a good tradition that major events in the field of oncology and radiology are held at the forum’s venue. Over 50 thematic roundtables, workshops and seminars bring together prominent specialists and young doctors, representatives of healthcare sector and mid-level health professionals. Such packed interdisciplinary agenda and highly motivated joint work make it possible to assess at the highest expert level the situation with fighting cancer diseases and their spread, discuss in detail many substantive professional issues. They promote cooperation between national healthcare systems and medical communities, as well as alignment of the potentials of academic, research, and educational centres. Most importantly, they make a great contribution to R&D on the most effective prevention, diagnostic and therapeutic methods designed to treat dangerous diseases and train skilled personnel.
Today, it can be confidently said that the forum has come into its own and confirmed its practical importance and relevance for developing the oncology services of Russia and other countries and for keeping millions of people in good health.”
