The President sent greetings to participants in the 8th Russian Forum for Medical Volunteers.
The message reads, in part:
“Throughout the past years, your movement’s worthwhile deeds and projects and its sincere compassion for those in need of support and attention has won well-deserved authority and respect, rallying thousands of like-minded individuals who see healthcare volunteer work as their primary mission in life. Your proactive engagement with government agencies and medical institutions, along with your significant educational efforts, have raised public awareness of the importance of healthy living and blood donation. In upholding the traditions of charity and selfless service, you embody the qualities for which our country has always been famous.
This noble calling demands spiritual generosity, empathy, tact, dedication and unwavering commitment. Your exemplary moral qualities and readiness to promptly respond to crises were particularly evident during the challenging and tragic hours and days following the brutal terrorist attack in the Moscow Region.
I am confident that the Medical Volunteers national public movement will continue to develop, broaden its scope of activity and devote tireless attention to implementing vital initiatives in the social sector.”
