Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances to Improve Control Over the Circulation of Narcotic Substances, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors.
The Federal Law is aimed at implementing additional measures of state control over the circulation of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
The Law establishes measures of control with regard to substances that are not used in the production sector but can be used to prepare narcotics and psychotropic substances.
The passing of the Federal Law will require amendments to several Russian Government resolutions, therefore it will come into force 120 days after its official publication.
