Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation between the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States Against the Illicit Traffic in Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors, signed on November 30, 2000.
The Protocol was signed in Moscow on October 25, 2019.
The Protocol supplements the Agreement with definitions of the main terms used in the Agreement (narcotics, psychotropic substances, illicit traffic in narcotics and precursors, etc.) and introduces new forms of cooperation between the parties when it comes to countering the illicit traffic in narcotics and precursors (establishing joint operational investigation task forces, carrying out coordinated and/or inter-agency preventive action and investigations, and special operations).
