Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law amending the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
The law supplements Article 232 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which establishes responsibility for opening or making available premises for taking narcotics or psychotropic substances, with a new qualificatory indication: commission of a crime by a group of individuals by previous concert.
This addendum will enhance the efficiency of efforts to fight illegal trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
Furthermore, under the Federal Law the investigation of the above crimes will come within the competence of drug control authorities.
