Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions on improving flight safety.
The Government has been charged with developing and approving a set of measures to implement a unified standard system of automatic aircraft surveillance using Russian technologies, including the global navigation satellite system GLONASS.
The Government has also been instructed to ensure the adoption of amendments to the legislation aimed at resolving issues with medical expertise in civil aviation. The measures must include creating a system for monitoring the health of aviation personnel and related preventive measures and authorising the Federal Air Transport Agency to arrange health checkups for civil aviation personnel at subordinate medical organisations.
In addition, the Government, jointly with the Presidential Commission for Development of General Aviation, has been charged with preparing and approving a plan for drafting regulatory legal acts on ensuring safety of general aviation flights.
The Transport Ministry and the Healthcare Ministry received instructions to determine the procedure for drawing up a list of pharmaceutical drugs whose use by civil aviation personnel affects flight safety.
