Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On the State Commission for the Preparation and Holding of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014 in Sochi.
The State Commission has been established to provide support for the preparation and holding of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014 in Sochi.
The State Commission will be in charge of organising the preparation and adoption of coordinated decisions on the preparation and holding of the Games by executive authorities of different levels and other agencies and organisations, as well as coordinating the activities of these agencies and organisations in implementing the decisions and monitoring their implementation.
The executive order approves the composition of the State Commission and sets deadlines for submitting reports by the commission chairman to the President on the stages of preparation and holding of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games.
Relevant instructions have been issued to the Government.
