Vladimir Putin had a brief conversation with interim President of the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) Nenad Lalovic. In particular, the discussion addressed the suggestion to exclude wrestling from the Olympic Games core sports.
The Russian President and FILA interim president stressed the significance of wrestling as one of the sports on the program of the Olympic Games. Russia’s position on this issue remains unchanged: wrestling should remain on the Olympics sports list.
