Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions following the March 19, 2013 meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport on preparing for and holding the 27th Summer Universiade in Kazan.
The instructions to the Government of the Russian Federation cover various aspects of organising and holding the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, particularly making the necessary arrangements for the transportation of sports teams and delegations, volunteers, Universiade guests, sports equipment and inventory.
The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to work together with the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan to determine the necessary additional financing and assure that the Universiade facilities are completed and put into operation in time.
