Vladimir Putin congratulated skiers Alexander Bessmertnykh, Maxim Vylegzhanin, Alexander Legkov and Dmitry Yaparov on their silver medal in the 4 by 10 kilometre cross-country relay at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
The message reads, in part:
“You overtook many illustrious rivals in a tough race to take the silver medal. This is the result of your genuine unity as a team and your excellent individual preparation, and of course the fans’ sincere support helped too.”
