Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Victor Wild, who won the gold medal in the snowboard parallel giant slalom at the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“You achieved an excellent result at the Sochi Olympics and convincingly showed that you have no equals in what is one of the most difficult and thrilling sports. This gold medal that you won in a tough competition is deserved reward for your ability, amazing capacity for hard work, and strength of spirit.”
