Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Vladislav Lekomtsev, champion of the XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi in the men’s 7.5km biathlon standing event.
The message reads, in part:
“Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on your gold medal at the Sochi Paralympics.
You have demonstrated the qualities of a true fighter and leader – an uncompromising, determined and strong-willed person. You snatched the victory from your competitor, beating him by a fraction of a second.”
