Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Nikolai Polukhin, silver medallist in the 12.5km biathlon race at the XI Winter Paralympics in Sochi.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“You showed all the qualities of a true Paralympic athlete in a stubborn and intense competition, in which you demonstrated excellent training and genuine strength of character to achieve this high result with confidence.
I hope that you will continue to have success in sport and that you will always remain just as determined in pursuing your goals.”
