Vladimir Putin visited the Luzhniki Small Sports Arena to see an exhibition performance by the Nippon Budokan Japanese House of Martial Arts.
The event was organised as part of the Year of Russian-Japanese Exchange in Martial Arts and featured demonstrations of kyudo, naginata, sumo, shorinji kempo, jukendo, daito-ryu aiki-jujutsu, kendo, aikido, karate-do and judo, as well as sumo and judo master classes.
On the eve of the event, President Putin met with Vice President of the Japanese Judo Federation Yasuhiro Yamashita.
