Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to everyone taking part in the final competition in the national sports event the President’s School Sports Games.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“Gathered here at the Orlyonok National Children’s Centre are purposeful young people of strength and character from throughout the country. You have made it through the preliminary rounds of competition and will now compete in a tough fight today for the honour of your teams, schools and hometowns. You will show us your finest physical form and determination to win. Ahead, you have memorable sports competition, interesting meetings and new friends.”
The Presidential School Sports Games are taking place at the Orlyonok Children’s Centre in Krasnodar Territory. Young sportspeople born in 2001–2002, from 82 Russian regions, are taking part in the competition, which has been taking place since 2011.
