The message reads, in part:

“Physical culture movement in Russia is deeply rooted and has a glorious history, and we have every right to be proud of it. Millions of people look to sport to help them succeed and toughen them up. Many generations of legendary champions and record holders emerged from this culture of sport.

Today, a lot is being done to revive the wonderful traditions and achievements of Russian sports schools, create an accessible, convenient and quality sports and entertainment infrastructure, improve sports education and, most importantly, more and more people of all ages are eager to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle. The Ready for Labour and Defence movement is becoming increasingly popular every year as new participants join in, proving that it has immense potential.”
