Vladimir Putin congratulated Roman Vlasov on his gold medal in the men’s Greco-Roman 75 kg category wrestling at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
The President’s message reads, in part:
“You represented Russia brilliantly in the Greco-Roman wrestling competition and on your road to the gold medal gained the upper hand over strong rivals who could not match your high level of training, strength of character, and desire to win”.
