Vladimir Putin took part in a hockey training session at the Olympic Shaiba Arena following the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix.
International Olympic Committee Honorary Member Jean-Claude Killy, who is visiting Sochi to give a series of lectures for students of the Sirius educational centre, also attended the training session.
Present at the stadium was Yelena Shmelyova, head of the Talent and Success foundation, which launched the Sirius educational centre. The President and Ms Shmelyova discussed issues pertaining to the development of the Olympic heritage, including the Olympic facilities.
