Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants in the Presidential Sports Games national school athletic competition, taking place at the Orlyonok National Children’s Centre in the Krasnodar Territory on the Black Sea coast on September 7–28, 2017.
The message reads, in part:
“You have shown outstanding results in the qualifying rounds and deserve to take part in the competition finals. These games are an excellent opportunity for you to learn teamwork and to become stronger and more confident. I am sure that for many participants it is a chance to begin a thriving career in sports and achieve success there.
What is in store for you? Honest, thrilling competitions, meetings with counterparts from various Russian regions and, of course, staying at the legendary Orlyonok and learning its history and traditions.”
