Vladimir Putin congratulated Vitaly Fokeyev on winning the double trap at the 2017 ISSF Shotgun World Championship.
The message reads, in part:
“You demonstrated efficiency and skill that helped you overtake experienced and ambitious rivals in the finals. This victory has added a new and outstanding page to your sports biography and has become a major contribution to the development of the glorious traditions of the Russian shooting school.”
The 2017 ISSF Shotgun World Championship is underway at Dmitrov, Moscow Region, from September 1 to 10.
