Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of Russian National Running Day, Cross the Nation-2017.
The message reads, in part:
“I would like to note that the famous Cross the Nation day is held in many regions of the country and its inspiring force unites people of different ages and interests, those who genuinely love physical fitness and sports, who maintain a constant commitment to an active and healthy lifestyle and seek out new friends and like-minded people.
I am confident that this year’s Running Day will again bring together dozens of thousands of participants, will be a real festival and an exceptional, unforgettable experience.”
One of the most popular sports events in the country, Cross the Nation has been held in Russia since 2004.
