Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 2018 Bandy World Championship taking place in Khabarovsk.
The message reads, in part:
“The world’s leading teams have gathered again to show off their skills, character and perseverance, to fight for the top rank as well as to provide a show for the fans of this wonderful winter game.
I would like to point out that for many years, Russia has made a significant contribution to the development, promotion and expansion of bandy. We have every right to be proud of our national team, its victories and triumphs. I am sure that Khabarovsk, which has a lot of experience in hosting such prestigious events, will do its best to hold this championship at the highest level.”
