Vladimir Putin congratulated Magomedrasul Gazimagomedov on winning the 2018 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest in the men’s freestyle, 70 kg event.
The message reads, in part:
“You are rightly considered an experienced and eminent athlete, a worthy representative of the Russian school of wrestling. At competitions of the highest level, you invariably demonstrate a fighting character and have defeated strong and well-trained rivals. And at the current championships, you have again won a well-deserved gold, literally having taken victory in the final match.”
