Greetings to 13th International Judo Tournament for Police and Army

April 13, 2019

Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 13th International Judo Tournament for Police and Army, currently underway in Moscow.

The message reads, in part:

“Lately, this tournament has become one of the key international sporting events, one that aims to promote the physical fitness of police officers, servicemen and rescuers and boost the cooperation between security agencies of different countries. And, of course, I should note the lofty and important mission of the tournament, which this year is held under the motto ‘We Remember’ and serves the noble cause of providing assistance to the families of those who died while performing their professional duties, and cherishing the memory of fallen heroes.

I am confident that the tournament will evoke great interest in all those who are into the philosophy of judo and a healthy and active lifestyle. Such an event promotes martial arts among the youth and students of military and sport schools, and involves them in the wonderful traditions of a brotherhood in arms.”
