Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Yevgeny Torsunov, winner in the men’s long jump event at the XVI Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
The message reads, in part:
“Congratulations on your brilliant victory and Paralympic record. These outstanding achievements were possible thanks to your exceptional hard work, will and skill. Your teammates, coaches and mentors, as well as numerous Russian fans, are proud of you. And, of course, your triumph in Tokyo was a great birthday gift for you.”
