President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated Andrei Vdovin on winning the 400-metre race in track and field competitions at the XVI Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
The message reads, in part:
“At the XVI Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo you displayed excellent training, athletic professionalism and an ability to accurately calculate your potential. These qualities of a true leader and champion helped you to come first in the 400-metre race and set a new world record.
