Vladimir Putin congratulated swimmers Bogdan Mozgovoi, Andrei Kalina, Andrei Nikolayev, Alexander Skaliukha, Andrei Gladkov, Dmitry Grigoryev, Daniil Smirnov and Denis Tarasov on winning the men’s 4x100m medley relay at the XVI Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.
The President’s message reads, in part:
“Your victory in the relay, one of the most fascinating and spectacular swimming events, requires that athletes demonstrate their singular dedication, concentration and the ability to correctly estimate their strength. You performed superbly and had every right to stand at the top of the podium. Your triumph is a vivid testament to the great potential of the domestic Paralympic school of swimming and its remarkable traditions.”
