Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings on the 100th anniversary of the Dynamo All-Russian Society of Sports and Physical Training to its management, athletes, coaches and veterans.
The message reads, in part:
“Your anniversary is a major and important event for Dynamo coaches, athletes and fans, for national elite sport and the popular physical fitness movement. We will always feel proud of outstanding Dynamo athletes of all generations, their national and world records, and brilliant triumphs at top-level competitions. I would like to sincerely thank our veterans for their honest and persistent work and for their selfless loyalty and devotion to the Society.
I am delighted to note that, by carefully preserving and developing existing traditions, today’s Dynamo team occupies respectable positions on the sport pedestal. Its athletes invariably display excellent training, strong character and determination during honest and intense competition. Their victories inspire young people to choose sport, a healthy and active lifestyle. Of course, I would also like to note your active involvement in implementing large-scale patriotic, charitable and educational initiatives.”
