Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants, organisers, and guests of the official meeting to mark the completion of the 2023 International Silk Way Rally.
The message reads, in part:
“This competition has become a well-established part of prestigious international motor racing events. It brings together prominent teams, renowned drivers, as well as aspiring professionals from different countries, and serves to promote and popularise motor sports. And, of course, the finish of the rally in the very heart of the Russian capital – near the walls of the Kremlin – is always an exciting, spectacular event that attracts genuine interest from Moscow residents and visitors.
I would like to thank the organisers of the Silk Way Rally and, of course, congratulate its winners and participants. You have overcome the challenges of an extremely complicated route, one that spanned 13 regions of Russia and, in doing so, have shown what you are capable of, accepting the challenge of an intense, tightly contested, and fair race. Well done!”
