Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Holding the World Friendship Games International Competition in 2024.
In order to provide for a guaranteed free access of Russian athletes and sports organisations to international sports events and develop new formats of international sports cooperation, the President issued an Executive Order to hold the international championship, World Friendship Games, in Moscow and Yekaterinburg in 2024.
The Russian Government has been instructed to establish an organising committee which will be in charge of the preparations and holding of the World Friendship Games and to develop a series of measures together with the Moscow Government and the Sverdlovsk Region Government to prepare and hold the event.
Relevant instructions have also been given to the Foreign Ministry.
