Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the Russian national team on its victory in 2010 European Aquatics Championships.
The message reads, in part:
“The podium’s top step was yours by right. In the swimming and synchronised swimming competitions, in open water and diving you were head and shoulders above your rivals. You demonstrated a very high level of mastery, excellent technique, dedication and will to win, and returned home with 28 medals, 13 of them gold.
Your achievements are another bright page in the annals of national sport. Your fans and your coaches are equally proud of them. All of Russia.”
