Dmitry Medvedev met with the Russian martial arts national team, which gained the first position in medal count at the World Martial Arts Games in China.
The President congratulated the team on the sensational result. This victory, Dmitry Medvedev stressed, is a perfect illustration of the way an excellent result can be attained through the concentration of will power, effort and practice.
The Russian team gained the first position in medal count at the World Martial Arts Games in Beijing, which finished on September 4. In eight days of the competitions, the athletes won 39 medals, 18 of them gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze. The Chinese team won the second place.
