Vladimir Putin looked over the Fisht Central Stadium, which will serve as the venue for the Olympics and Paralympics opening and closing ceremonies. The President also held a meeting on the ceremonies’ organisation.
Taking part in the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov, President of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Organising Committee for the 2014 Winter Olympics Dmitry Chernyshenko and Director General of Channel One Konstantin Ernst.
Earlier, the President visited the Olympic facilities’ mountain cluster, in particular the RusSki Gorki ski-jumping ramp and the media village. Reports on the state of readiness for the Sochi Olympics and Paralympics were presented to Mr Putin at a meeting the day before.
