Vladimir Putin inspected the Olympic facilities and assessed readiness of the mountain cluster infrastructure for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
The President visited the RusSki Jumping Centre. Sberbank CEO German Gref, who accompanied Vladimir Putin during the tour, announced that all works and approvals on the Olympic facilities will be completed by January 20.
Vladimir Putin visited several Olympic hotel complexes in the mountain cluster that will be used during the G8 Summit on June 4–5, 2014.
Also, the President visited an interfaith centre located in the residential complex for athletes. The centre’s premises are equipped in accordance with the requirements of the major religions.
Vladimir Putin also descended several times down the runs of the Laura Alpine Ski and Biathlon Centre.
Later, Mr Putin had an informal meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
