Vladimir Putin visited the Holland Heineken House, where he spoke with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and with Dutch sports fans.
The President spoke with the royal couple about organising the Olympics and noted, in particular, that all winter sports infrastructure had ended up in other former Soviet countries, while Sochi had no winter sports facilities.
The King and Queen of the Netherlands said that the sports facilities were built to the highest standards and also thanked the volunteers for their work.
The President spoke about how training was organised for the volunteers, who came from all around Russia. Mr Putin also said that he will attend the Olympics’ closing ceremony and will also attend events at the Paralympics.
