Vladimir Putin sent a message to Nikolai Polukhin congratulating him on his silver medal in the men’s 7.5km biathlon event for the visually impaired at the XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi.
The message reads, in part:
“My congratulations on your silver medal at the XI Paralympic Winter Games.
You represented this country with honour and confidently exceeded many strong competitors to add another medal to our national team’ collection.
I am certain that you will continue to strive for success and new outstanding achievements.”
