Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Russian skiers Roman Petushkov, Irek Zaripov and Alexander Davidovich, who won all three medals in the 15-km cross-country sitting competition.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“You have made a most worthy showing for our national team, confidently taking all three places on the medal podium. This big and deserved success will make a major contribution to developing Paralympic sport in Russia and consolidating its victorious traditions. It is of course a wonderful gift to fans throughout Russia too.”
