Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Alexander Pronkov, Vladimir Kononov, and Vladislav Lekomtsev, medallists in the standing 10-km freestyle sprint event at the XI Winter Paralympics in Sochi.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“You put on a brilliant performance and took all three places on the medal podium. This result enabled our team to break the absolute record in the overall team medal tally, with the biggest number of medals ever in the history of the Paralympics”.
