Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Yelena Remizova, Mikhalina Lysova, and Yulia Budaleyeva, medallists in the 5-km freestyle ski race among visually impaired athletes at the XI Winter Paralympics in Sochi.
The President said, in particular, in his telegram:
“You demonstrated an outstanding level of ability and determination, and showed that you know how to fight and reach your goal. You fulfilled the supporters’ hopes and showed very clearly that Russia’s Paralympic athletes have what it takes to conquer even the most difficult sporting summits”.
