Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions following a meeting with Russian Popular Front members held on April 10, 2014.

The Presidential Control Directorate has been instructed to present suggestions on making the work of the electric power industry enterprises more effective.

In particular, instructions issued to the Government together with the Russian Popular Front cover such issues as efficiency assessment of state financial support measures for agriculture, introduction of social norms of energy consumption, encouraging the public to get involved in sports and physical culture, and the Russian Popular Front’s participation in drafting programmes to be approved by the Government and designed to resolve socially significant tasks.

The Government has also been instructed to organise, together with the Russian Popular Front, the Taurida national youth forum in the Republic of Crimea.

The Government, the Russian Popular Front and the Russian Historical Society have been instructed to ensure that the information about the role of Crimea and Sevastopol in the history of the Russian Empire, the USSR, and modern Russia is included in the concept of the new educational complex on Russian history.

Instructions to the Government also concern investment programmes for power industry, certain issues pertaining to healthcare, major repairs of multiple family dwellings and development of sports infrastructure in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

The Accounts Chamber has been instructed, together with the Russian Popular Front, to develop a mechanism that would ensure that this national public movement is engaged in the process of assessing the implementation of federal and regional programmes aimed to resolve socially significant tasks, and its position regarding such assessment is taken into account.
