Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Head of the Kherson Region Vladimir Saldo to hear the latter’s report on a huge temperature drop, which caused power supply disruptions and damage to power lines. The President also heard a report by Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, who reported on the situation in districts affected by disruptions in power and heat supply.

Following these reports, the President had a separate conversation with Minister for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Natural Disaster Relief Alexander Kurenkov, instructing him and Rosseti to continue to take all the necessary measures to ensure power and heat supply.
