Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement on the Basic Principles of Currency Regulation and Currency Control in the CIS.
The Agreement was signed on October 18, 2011 in St Petersburg.
It sets forth the main directions and principles for coordinated policies in currency regulation and currency control, allowing for further harmonisation of currency legislation in the CIS, and contemplates a gradual elimination of exchange restrictions preventing effective economic cooperation.
