Vladimir Putin submitted the Agreement Between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Cases, signed in Moscow on October 14, 2014, to the State Duma for ratification.
The Agreement was signed with the aim of developing the international legal framework for Russian-South Ossetian cooperation on providing mutual legal assistance in criminal cases.
In accordance with the Agreement, the parties commit, on a mutual basis and in observance of the conditions indicated within, to provide one another with legal assistance in investigations, judicial proceedings or other procedural actions related to criminal cases.
