Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Russian Federation Code of Administrative Offences.
The amendments aim to combat the creation and operation of financial pyramids.
Administrative penalties have also been set for calls to take part in such activity and for public dissemination of information that encourages participation in such activity.
Under the law, those found guilty of these administrative offences shall be liable to an administrative fine.
