The President signed Federal law On Amendment to Article 284–1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The revision concerns article of the Russian Federation Criminal Code “Operation in the Russian Federation of a foreign or international non-governmental organisation, whose activities have been declared undesirable in the Russian Federation.”
Managing activity of such an organisation is punishable under criminal law, notwithstanding liability for the same activity under administrative legislation.
Criminal liability has also been established for the provision or collection of funds or the rendering of financial services for the benefit of such an organisation.
