Vladimir Putin congratulated workers and veterans of Russia’s construction industry on their professional holiday, Construction Workers’ Day.
The congratulatory message reads, in part:
“Our nation’s cities and villages, energy, social and transport infrastructure, and major manufacturing complexes were built and put into operation through the labour and talent of many generations of engineers, designers and planners, workers and experts.
I am pleased that you carefully preserve and skilfully develop your working traditions, widely implement environmentally clean and safe technologies and cutting-edge engineering plans. Much is also being done to improve professional education and training of highly qualified personnel. Let me stress that your professionalism, competence, and responsible attitude toward your work to a large extent determine the successful resolution of top priority challenges: providing decent housing to citizens, constructing modern enterprises and providing the necessary facilities on site.”
