Vladimir Putin congratulated oil and gas industry workers and veterans on their professional holiday.
The message reads, in part:
“The oil and gas sector is considered with good reason to be one of the leading sectors and a real driver of the Russian economy. Its operation is crucial for the realisation of the country’s rich energy, industrial and export potential and is conducive to the effective development of Russia’s regions, the creation of modern jobs and the improvement of the quality of life in the country.
The sector’s workers are faced with challenging tasks related to developing prospective fields, including in the Arctic, creating a reliable and environmentally friendly infrastructure for the sector, introducing new technology and maintaining sustainable deliveries to consumers in Russia and beyond.
I am convinced that your knowledge, experience and responsible attitude to your jobs will help you achieve your objectives, enhance the competitiveness of the national oil and gas sector and maintain Russia’s positions as a reliable partner and a recognised leader in the production and processing of hydrocarbons.”
