Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Electronic Digital Signature.
The law aims to eliminate the shortcomings of Federal Law No. 1-F3 of January 10, 2002 On Electronic Digital Signature, and to broaden the use of electronic signatures.
The law regulates dealings in the use of electronic signatures and defines the concept of an electronic signature, its forms, and requirements to software tools used to create and verify it.
The President also signed the Federal Law On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation following the Adoption of the Federal Law On Electronic Digital Signature.
