Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions on developing the ERA-GLONASS state automated information system.
The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to develop and approve a road map for creating the GLONASS open joint-stock company with 100% government participation, for the purpose of developing the ERA-GLONASS state automated information system and its use in the interest of other information and navigation complexes and systems. Instructions were also given to make provisions for planning a development strategy for this open joint-stock company, as well as preparing and submitting to the Sate Duma a draft federal law on making corresponding legislative amendments.
The document defines the key areas of GLOSNASS OJCS operations and specific measures for planning its development strategy.
